Double Smoked Ham

This is a recipe for Simple Double Smoked Ham, involving preparation with Dijon mustard, BBQ rub and sauce.

Simple Double Smoked Ham 

 

**Recipe is for one half ham**

Ingredients

  • Pre-cooked half ham
  • Dijon mustard
  • BBQ rub of choice
  • BBQ sauce of choice

Directions

  1. Take a knife and score the ham 1/2 inch deep (make cross-cuts so that the cuts look like squares)
  2. Use Dijon mustard as a base (coat the ham completely in Dijon mustard)
  3. Sprinkle on a BBQ rub seasoning of your choice
  4. Let ham sit for 20-30 minutes
  5. Heat grill to 250-275 degrees
  6. Place ham on a baking rack and place onto grill at indirect heat
  7. Cook for 1 hour then check, continue cooking for another 45 minutes
  8. Take ham off grill and coat with BBQ sauce of your choice
  9. Place ham back on rack and put back on grill for another 20 minutes
  10. Take ham off and let rest for at least 10-15 minutes
  11. Cut ham into slices and serve
