Homemade Biscuits From Scratch
**Recipe makes 15 biscuits**
(Yes, we ate one before we took the photo)
Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp salt
- 1 Tbsp baking powder
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 1/2 stick of butter
- 1/2 cup of buttermilk (regular milk is fine)
Directions
- Mix all ingredients together in a bowl
- Take some extra flour and spread out on a flat surface
- Take the mixed ingredients and place them on top of the flour and knead until the dough holds its shape
- Use a cast iron skillet and coat it with butter
- Make 15 balls out of the dough that you have kneaded and place them in the skillet
- Heat at 425 degrees, checking periodically until golden brown
- Spread butter over each biscuit before serving
